Nothing Phone (1) Offline Sale Likely; In Talks With Reliance Digital

The Nothing Phone (1) smartphone is expected to break the covers on July 12. As we approach the launch of this smartphone, we come across several leaks and official teasers that make it clear what to expect. It was also seen that the brand would follow the same strategy implemented by OnePlus in terms of sales.

The company recently confirmed that the Nothing Phone (1) will be sold through Flipkart and initially available through an invite-only system. A report from 91mobiles citing noted tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the company is in talks with Reliance Digital for offline sales of the Nothing Phone (1). According to the tipster, the Nothing Phone (1) is produced in Tamil Nadu and available exclusively through the e-commerce portal Flipkart. Recently, the company also revealed the details of the pre-order pass for interested buyers to secure the device.

Nothing Phone (1) Expected specs

Furthermore, the tipster has confirmed some specifications of the upcoming smartphone. These specs have been speculated in the past via the Geekbench listing and other leaks. According to the claim, the Nothing Phone (1) will be launched with a 16 MP selfie camera sensor and a dual camera setup on the back with a 50 MP primary sensor and a 16 MP secondary sensor. A 4500mAh battery, in addition, to supporting 45W fast charging, is said to power the smartphone. In addition, the other confirmed details are the presence of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor with eight cores and 8 GB of RAM. It is said to have an OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Android 12 is said to run with the default operating system Nothing.

Nothing phone (1) Glyph interface functions

One of the shared videos of the Nothing Phone (1) showed the full design of the smartphone and the Glyph interface on the back panel of the smartphone. Likewise, the Nothing Phone (1) has a red dot video recording indicator and LED lights that show the charge percentage, wireless charging, and call notifications.

Five lighting strips are claimed to be equipped with over 900 LEDs. The Nothing Phone (1) Glyph interface system controls these LEDs that illuminate independently or simultaneously to let users know who calls or the indication of battery charging. It also allows users to control and adjust the LEDs on the back. By saying customization, users can adjust the brightness of these LEDs and make them glow according to the custom ringtone set for an individual contact. These comics are also synced with the ringtones.

In addition, the Glyph interface menu shows users how to use the Flip-to-Glyph feature, which only works when the Nothing Phone (1) is turned upside down. It pulses the lights to show notifications of an incoming call and the wireless charging commands indicating how much the battery is charged. To know this, users have to wiggle the phone a little. Moreover, the users can enable or disable the Nothing Phone (1) Glyph interface at a preset time. They can also mute the notifications with lights-only notifications. These are touted as essential features and software updates can add more customization options.
